David Busch, PhD
David Busch is an experimental physicist, focused on applications of diffuse optical spectroscopy and imaging to human diseases. His work has involved instrument design, construction, and control, and advanced data analysis techniques.
Most of his past projects involved detection and staging of breast cancer with multi-modal imaging (esp. MRI); his current work focuses on brain injury during ischemic stroke and ECMO therapy. He is involved in projects applying diffuse optics to a variety of other conditions, including muscle disease and brain function.
